We have been using the same tablet (Nexus 7) and RC for months without an issue, but a few weeks ago we began running into a recurring issue we have not been able to resolve consistently. Normally when we connect the cable from the RC to the tablet there is a pop-up asking which app we would like to link with RC (DJI Go, DJI Pilot, 3rd party app, etc) and we would select the one we wanted to use 'Just Once' each time. However, this is no longer happening. The RC and aircraft have green lights indicating they are still connected, but when we use any of the apps we have to control aircraft they do not connect. We have tried clearing their 'Open by Default' settings but there were none set, we have Developer Options and USB Debugging enabled, set to MTP mode, and have tried multiple cables. We were once able to re-engage the pop-up by pressing C1+C2+Record+Shutter, but this has since not helped (and we were told is to reconnect aircraft and RC, not tablet and RC). We are currently reinstalling the apps per a phone call to DJI, but aren't optimistic this will resolve the issue. Any suggestions?

Reinstalling the apps alone didn't help, but issue was resolved after a factory reset of the tablet. Still not sure what caused the issue (or how it was temporarily resolved before) but I guess we can always reset it again if needed.
