It was on 5.8g but it's the CE version I have heard that the US version is better, but still, this isn't meant for flying far away. So I guess it's fine. + In nature It's totally fine!

2.4 should hav a stronger signal throughout EU, 5.8 CE max 500m 2.4 max 2000m EU .

That's good to know, still puzzles me the different models behaviour. Seems some suposedly EU versions picking up 5.8.

For what I understood, the 5.8 version would have 4km range, in the areas that allow it like America. Since Europe limits that to 500m the 5.8 version works worst in Europe.  So the 2.4 version should have  better range in Europe, still we dont know what happens if the EU version is used in America.

IMO You can not compare them like that - clearly interference from one remote will kill 2nd connection.
hope he will do more interesting tests FCC vs CE
