Bashy, I completely agree.   At least he was honest when he said he had never flown it before.

Actually it was (accidentally) a great  demonstration , how good the MM software/hardware gets along with compass abuse, or foolish use(rs).  Did not know how good this compensation is....when I remember Phantom 1 or Arducopter...

I wouldn’t recommend turning any drone on inside a hunk of metal like a car, nor would I recommend taking off so close to the car, everything was ok today but some day he might take off and the drone will fly up his nose . Safe flying .

The first one true, but the second one I have done quite often.
Depending on available flat space around me of course.

He took off 6 feet from his car MP1 20 seconds later it was dead, and there are plenty of others around here, it’s your drone your decision.

What is the problem here?

Believe problem he was trying to point out was length of time it took to get MM flying.

Which from what I saw. time delayed  was due to him incorrectly calibrating compass.  Both location and technique.

Worst compass calibration attempt (at least by what appeared in video) was done inside vehicle.
Surprised MM didn't reject compass calibration.  Perhaps entire car is made of plastic and non-ferrous metals.
