Update 2020. I created a new standalone tool that can create the custom overlay and export it to finished videos. I hope you like it:
To analyze and convert the data to other file formats (like CSV, GPX, KML, JSON...). Check out Telemetry Extractor:
Hey guys,
I created an After Effects template that reads data from the SRT flight logs and creates customizable gauges: a dashboard with speedometer, GPS path, altitude, heading, distance, ISO, shutter speed and f-number. You can see it in action here:
The viewer and covnerter should work with the Mavic (Pro, 2, Zoom, Mini), Phantom (3, 4, Pro), Inspire (some models), Matric 200, and maybe more. You can also convert the telemetry data to GPX or KML for Google Earth, to CSV for Excel... and things like that .
I hope you like the idea. Let me know if you have doubts, ideas... Thanks!
Hello and good day 0Kajuna0. Thank you for sharing these information and your experience in creating this wonderful effect. This information will be a very big help to all our DJI co pilot who wanted to edit there videos and add this effects. Great work and thank you for your support.
I just implemented a coupon code system on my site and created a discount for the users of this forum, so those interested can comment down here and I'll send a code their way
Tools updated with:
- Latitude and longitude in GPS Path gauge
- Nautical units available
- Speed Tracker gauge
- SRT Viewer now allows to merge multiple srt files
I updated the tools to generate correct altitudes, so now you can export the flight data to GPX and create 3D maps of your flights in Google Earth Pro. Something like this

Hi, I'm just checking to see if you are still sharing discount codes for users of this forum before I make my purchase. Please let me know. Thank you!
Ok, Mavic Air 2 is now compatible! You will need to push smoothing to the maximum in order to get speed values close to reality, as there is a bug in the firmware, where the GPS precision is lower than in other drones https://djitelemetryoverlay.com/srt-viewer/

I'm very interested in the Mac version to use with my Mavic Air 2, Insta 360 One R, and Hero 7.

Great tool, I'm interested in this discount too.
One question:
As DJI FPV does not offer Caption Creation in SRT Files, is there a tool für converting Flight Logs or CSV-Exports from Airdata to SRT?
Or what are your plans for supporting the DJI FPV drone?
The DJI FPV does record subtitle data. It's embedded in the video file, but it's accessible by Telemetry Overlay, or you can extract it to SRT with this tool: https://djitelemetryoverlay.com/subtitle-extractor
Also, Telemetry Overlay supports AirData CSV files directly, which are more accurate and contain more data than the subtitles.
Hey. Fantastic job! It's great to see the thumbsticks gauge put to goog use.
There should be a way to record the video subtitles. See these samples by DC Rainmaker: https://drive.google.com/drive/f ... EBTHPF6DsZkNt-S_mMc They contain the subtitle data. But I don't know where in the app you would enable that. Anyway, the CSV data is better.
The next software version will have the Pitch indicator :-)
