am I able to force the use of 2.4GHz for the mini? (will purchase the US version which I believe is dual frequency but will travel to locations where I need to force the use of 2.4). Thanks.

From what I understand the US version is 5.8 Ghz only. Ce version is both but at a lower power transmitter.

Ok thanks, that clarifies things for me in terms of the models. Found the below after the replies. Too bad for me and my trip, looks like I'll take the spark. Even if I could buy the CE version, it would be lower power on the remote when in the us (and maybe not even fcc certified). Thanks for the info!! Saved me from either having the drone confiscated or using it at illegal frequency which could bring other problems!

If your Mavic Mini is the FCC version, then you can fly it in countries and regions of FCC and SRRC, as well as 5.8 GHz-supported CE countries and regions. In an unobstructed environment free of interference, the FCC Mavic Mini’s max image transmission distance can reach 4 km in the FCC countries and regions, can reach 2.5 km in the SRRC countries and regions, and 500 m in 5.8 GHz-supported CE countries and regions.

I have Mavic Mini MT1SD25, (remote MR1SD25) operating in Europe - somehow I don't have opportunity to change frequency to 2.4GHZ - only option seems to be 5.8.
If I have understood correctly, this versions should both options?

Do I do something now wrong? With current setup Range is very weak.
