Has anyone tried the Mimo app with Android Oreo Go?

Hello and good day Alex-c. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. I hope that you will get the best recommendation from our valued DJI members who uses the DJI Mino application on an Android Oreo Go platform. Thank you.

I took a chance and got a Lenovo E7 tablet with Oreo Go.

The Mimo app installed and started fine.
Got connected to my pocket and could live view and control the axis.
Only issue so far is playback being choppy but that's probably because the footage is 1080p and more than the tablet can handle.

Not an adroid person. But, isn't Android Oreo Go. somewhat of a bare bones version of Android OS? This might also be why it's choppy.

I believe it's bare bones so it runs ok on less powerful hardware - so that's where the problem might lie.

Oreo Go is surprisingly featured still, even has the screencast option.

Being more basic in hardware I had to connect using 2.4ghz wireless too.

Works enough for me, just wanted a cheap way to control the pocket while in my shed doing oily car things.
