Hello, I just got my Spark second hand from some friend.
Unfortunately, i just realized that there is some kind of issue with the altimeter.
On flight, it always max out on 4m, even though im flying much higher.
sometime the altimeter flashes the correct altitude, but then it goes back to the wrong one.

the even weirder thing is that, when i check on the flight record, the altitude seems to work fine. although in some flight, it did dip to below 0, up to -182m at one point
i seems to able to narrow the cause is that my Spark for some reason only register it vision sensors when determining it's relative altitude, completely ignoring the barometer nor GPS Altitude.

anyone knows the solution? the drone still works fine.
I only have one issue where it don't want to decent quickly, even though it was still far away from the ground (because of the negative altitude).
But other than that, so far it works great

here's the flight record curve that shows the Barometer/GPS altitude, relative height, and vision sensor altitude (in that order)
the error.jpg

Thanks!

Looks like the barometer is faulty, I think.
GPS height is, afaik, not a measurement for the Spark.
It is always just barometer difference to starting point

Hi. Thank you for posting your inquiry. With regards to the inconsistent information from the said the drone. To isolate the issue, I would recommend please try to do a IMU calibration. Please keep us posted for further assistance. Thank you.

Oh I thought they also take GPS alt into account.

but the altimeter reading is fine, it's just the relative height value was stuck on 4 meter. I don't think the baro is dead
I've already calibrated the IMU and compass, refreshed the firmware, the issue still persist.

I agree with S-e-ven I think you barometer might be faulty or jammed with dirt etc.

Check and clean your downward looking sensors..   I don't think the spark uses GPS altitude.. but it does use the downward sensors  when it thinks it is close to the ground.

Ok, so check out your flight record, to find out if the vision sensor is giving you 4m to the ground.
LouisP might be right, sry for "not thinking quicker", but the constant 4 m can be a "thing in  the view" of the senors, too.
Upoad your flight record:

And check both altitude rows which is giving you the wrong input!

I think this is a persistent bug in "Hopy Spark".
Vision sensors' ribbon cable connector is faulty.
Here is a video if you are out of warranty and would try it yourself:
