Hi all,
Providing the tablet is running a 64bit os.  If you're 'out in the field' & your tablet has no wifi connection (out of range of a hub) & No phone signal either (None built in).
Will the tablet function fully with the app?
How does, and can the app get offline versions of the map area you are in, so that it can work offline?
Can you, and If you manage to get the App on to an Amazon Fire tablet, will it work ok?
Hope you can help
Cheers.

Hi. Thank you for reaching out to DJI Forum with your inquiries. First, the WiFi and data connection are required for activation, updating the firmware and logging in to your DJI account. Once these are complete you can fly the drone without data or WiFi from your provider. Just a friendly reminder, before going to a location without service, it is advisable to check for updates and check if your DJI account is logged in. Second, upon checking the Amazon Fire Tablet is not yet listed as a recommended mobile device for the DJI Mavic Mini. It may work however we can't guarantee the stability of the said unit. For additional reference, I will be posting a link ( https://www.dji.com/dji-fly ) for the compatible devices for the DJI Mavic Mini and DJI Fly application. Thank you.

Many thanks for the reply.
If the tablet or phone that is being used as a screen is 'offline',  how do you download 'offline' maps to the app, so that it can show where you are on a map?

Hi. Thank you for the additional inquiry. As of the moment the offline map is not yet implemented on the DJI Fly application. For more details about DJI Mavic Mini and DJI. Please visit our official website at

Hi again,
Hmmmm interesting..   I opened up DjiFly on my phone, whilst it was in flight mode, and it 'did' seem that the map was fully loaded and detailed, including the various zones....
