Thank you! It is not a problem to fly. In some places there are no-fly zones, there are many helicopters on the way. Otherwise stick to the normal rules and everything is fine ....

Thank you so much Marco. I was New Zealand in October (Queenstown, Mount Cook, Fox Glacier,  then the Coromandel Coast). I wasn't able to find room for the Mavic in my suitcase, so your video has brought back some lovely memories.

I know all these places during summer season.
New Zealand for me is almost the best and most attractive place to take drone footage.
So many and different unusual landscapes and colors. I saw so far nothing comparible.

How is NZ with drone rules?

Very very regulated so far in NZ.
I was there last February.
It tooks me nearlly 2-3 months to work out permissions.
Here you have to come in contact with the DOC and in some cases with local communities.
Also you have to register all planned flights by date and time frame on the Airshare platform IN ADVANCE (!)
In my case I had also to visit the DOC centre in Auckland.
And, it is quiete expensive to check and get permissions.
But, I never regret any dollar of investment.
