thanks Montfrooij, I think its because of you Im trying AEB again.  One thing I have noticed is the merged images are a loft softer than normal so a little sharpening is required.

That will depend on the editor I guess.
Affinity Photo does not have that issue (at least not in my footage)

It appears with Lightroom you have to do all the steps manually to get any settings to adjust.
