My replacement mavic mini is experiencing the same gimbal jump as my first one.
with gimbal pointed all the way down and moving forward or back it jumps up. this always happens in S mode and sometimes in P mode.
spoke with dji multiple times and they dont admit to the problem.
was told software update V 4 might fix it.
no luck.
makes for some un useable footage.

I experience the same problem but I am not sure if this is due to the inclination of the drone on hard stops. I am able to reproduce it 100% of the time doind the following:

- gimbal looking down 90º
- Move the drone fordward for a while.
- stop or move backwards.
-> the Gimbal Jumps from 90º to about 80º

Is this normal behaviour? I haven't had any crashes and I am experiencing this from day 1.

I had the same issue come up the other day. I flew it a handful of times but that day was the first it happened. It did it a few times and at least one was recorded if proof is needed, but lots of other people here also experienced it.

Just noticed today the same issue with my 2-day old MM - gimbal facing downwards, 90degrees. When moving up slightly, it jumps.

Drone never crashed. Should I think of replacing it, or will all do this? I've tried replicating the issue inside, with the drone in hand but the gimbal moves smoothly and never did the jump.

On closer look, I think this is normal. @1:55 I was in Sport mode, tilted 90* down and then stopped suddenly. The gimbal could not compensate for the movement. @2:08 not quite sure, maybe a gust of wind or suddenly started moving.

Unfortunately it started to happen also to me today
Only four days have passed since the first use.
No crashes.

Sorry for my english.
I think that maybe one of the causes could be the fact that this gimbal can be easily damaged with simple dust..
Here's a video that explain this:
youtube.com/watch?v=4g3vsNAl3iA

In practice, if you take off/land the drone on ground with some dust, the dust will penetrate inside the gimbal, and after a certain amount, the gimbal will start to give different kinds of problems.

So, you who have this problem, have you ever landed / taken it off on ground with some dust?
