It's not just Mini (as long as I know all the drones). Left pins down is to go down - land, up to rise. Why is it different (opposite) than on an airplane?

I am used to airplanes, so sometimes (usually in a hurry) I pull the wrong direction.

I am clear that it should not change, but wonder why it is like that.

First of all........ NEVER be in a hurry!!

Second of all....... drones (being a rotoray wing machine), operate more like helicopters than like fixed wing airplanes.

I assume you never flew helicopters, so I can only suggest you practice, practice, practice on the drone, and soon you will get used to it.

And oh....... did I mention not to be in a hurry?

You may also try to familiarize yourself with the DJI Mavic Mini's remote controller by practicing flying and utilizing the Application Simulator for the DJI Mavic Mini. Practice makes perfect. There are two other modes you can try to see if that is more like your flying experience. Mode 2 is the default.
