2. Optimized gimbal performance when powering on with some third-party filter.
I was wondering what it means... It can't mean what I think it is... BUT IT MEANS WHAT I THINK IT IS!!!

I just tested to boot up pocket with Kase wide angle lens attached.

Wow it boots up without a problem!
(it used to fall into gimbal protect mode and you have to remove the lens before the boot.)

Then I tried Freewell wide angle lens which is bigger. I works as well!!
It turns out that DJI modified the booting sequence gimbal movement so it slow down in up and down movement to prevent the lens frame hitting gimbal base hard.

In addition, it seems they adjuested gimbal motor power set up when lens is attached.
Now I am having much less gimbal shaking with lens attached than before.
My gimbal motor wear down heavily over the year of use and used to have serious shaking issue.

Problem in this review is no longer happens.

This update just saved so much trouble for me.
Bravo DJI. Good job. I didn't expect they would update even on 3rd party accessary support.

Better Image quality and almost no distortion than Kase Lens For sure.
It is a heavy lens, so I would be careful not to overload the gimbal motor but with this update, it seems promising.

It is for wide angle lens, solving the booting case as you mentioned. The recommended wide angle lens will also be available in DJI store in the future.

Hi Tide.

After my first proper use my Pocket almost feels like a new camera. It handles the Freewell lens with ease, it can actually power on and off with it on although the lens's barrel hits the bottom motor, so probably not a good idea.

I'm still yet to record properly without the adaptor but immediately with the adaptor I've noticed a more solid stabilisation, a better holding of focus and just a better experience with the Pocket in a vlog position.

Because the Pocket is so good as a traditional video camera and my recent results for vloggy stuff have been massively positive and seeing as I don't use any of my small/action cameras for traditional action shooting. I'm thinking about selling all my actioncams and focusing all my efforts for my small ultra portable system on the Pocket.
