From TechGoody:  DJI’s Confirmed that DJI will release the new aircraft firmware on 30th of December which support unlocking function.  

Except that you shouldn't fly where ever you want,  how inappropriate to put that out there.

It's relevant source? Why DJI don't confirm this information on their forum/web? People are frustrated here and without any actual info from DJI, last official info from DJI is "we don't know when".

and, of course - dont they have Holidays 2?
Nobody of my craftsman-companies ar reachable til 3rd of january cause of Holidays... so in the software-Industrie it will be the same i think...

You’re ignoring the existence of the Spark  Same price range, had much more features.

I have two Sparks and a Mini.  NO WAY that the Spark is superior to the Mini. Yes, there are some features that might be nice, but when it comes down to it the Mini stands tall.  It is below 250 grams. Has 2.7K video, superior range. If you want those features you are welcome to buy more expensive models (but over 250 grams - soon to be under the thumb of the FAA).

What would you deem code that is pushed out before Alpha testing?
Or code you have to use before testing; making you the Alpha tester?

Yess they promis 24fps and self unlock featur in update in late December,but they lie to uss........ if no update till new year i will sel my mini i am sick and tired of DJI LIES!!!!!!!!!

What are you hoping for.. DJI support is the worst in history of all companies I ever dealt with,., The update will be late, Some, not all, bugs will be fixed and new ones introduced. When you ask about it, you'll get the same repetitive "approved" copy & paste answer like "sorry for the trouble" or "we don't have any information of the release date" or "sorry for the trouble and thank you for your support/understanding".

I have been dealing with vendors from china for a few years now, they are not consumer centric in any way shape or form... period.  Now, dont get me wrong, there are some, and those good ones do not hesitate to replace or refund what you are not happy with immediately, but DJI appears to fall into a lesser  group of manufacturers who's entire business model is purely revenue related without the consumer support that is demanded in this day and age.  They are not the worst as i have seen so far, but definitely in need of some restructuring when it comes to managing customer service and response.

It is just a big bad Joke, sorry DJI it seems you are not able to release a new product with a working firmware

I feel your frustration with waiting.  However, coming from a background of developing Apps and custom software for Android phones I can tell you there is tons of coding to do to add just a few of the things everybody is expecting to see.  Then it has to be tested, corrected, retested and then finalized.  This is not a simple process.  If you'd like just decompile a simple App and look at the volume of coding required. I'm sure they don't desire to rush it out and have bugs or worse yet cause RC AC issues. Just saying, hard as it is we need to continue to try and be patient.

Should be no excuse, DJI has had plenty of experience before launching this Mavic Mini knowing very well what customers would be complaining about. I'm also in the software development business, and yes, software developers "KNOWINGLY" release unpolished software to it's customers just to make "LAUNCH" date. DJI should of made customers aware of this "geo-unlocking" debacle and not play off the stability of DJI GO 4 app.

I agree, I have experienced this before and at least it would be called Beta 0.9 kr something and let users know of the limitations / bugs.

The new firmware released and working perfect finally

Finaly it works!
I was able to update the App (ios) and the Firmware.

After some waiting time it was possible to unlock my restricted zone around my house and made a first test flight.

Regards from Switzerland,
where a Drohne below 500 gr. should have no restrictions at all.

1) Samsung S10 - Again does not work!
2) Samsung S7 - WORK!

I unlocked the blue zone. But only on the Samsung S7!
Sadly, he can't do the app on the Samsung S10 !!!

Please make an app on Samsung S10 Android 10 !!!!

DJI has taken into their own hands to think for the public, commercial pilots, and the FAA.  You should be able to fly without intervention from the manufacturer at all... period.  Warnings are fine, maps are great.  DJI is digging their own hole as a company with stuff like this...people do not realize it yet...

Same here. I received the Mini yesterday. Had 1 flight using my Samsung S10+, later i made the update to 1.0.4, but now the fly app crashes immediately. I found the 1.0.3 apk, installed it, but same crash happens. I don't know what to do...

Go to DJI Download Center and download there. It still shows as 1.03 but the link gets you to the 1.04 version.

You may have gotten a bad download.  Especially if you ran V3 without issue and made no updates to your phone OS before running V4.  I suggest you uninstall the App and delete the DJI folder on your phone.  Reboot phone and then download App again from DJI website and install.  I have an S10+ on Android with the Snapdragon processor and Fly App V3 and V4 installed and ran without issue.  Hope you get it fixed and can get flying.

They say not, but also has produced messages that with working with Samsung they believe to have found the issue and should have an update out to fix it. They did not give a date as to when the update would be out.

When did they promise 24 FPS?

S10 and S10+ running Android 10 is mainly due to processor differences, anyone running the Snapdragon processor this should work just fine it's however the users running the Exynos processor which this is happening to (including myself). In the meantime if you have an older 1.0.3 apk I suggest you uninstall the DJI FLY App for now also go into My Files and remove all traces of the DJI folder then re-install from the APK  , restart your phone and try opening DJI FLY App, if you're still getting white screen then repeat these steps a few times, I hope this helps someone!

SO dissapointment... It do not work with my S10+ with official not BETA Android 10. Even uninstalling, remove files, restart, install, restart few times do not work... from christmas the dron is useless...
