LMAO - there are a lot of people who purchased the MM for holiday vacations, gifts, etc on top of for their own enjoyment. The fact that the geo zone issue was identified almost immediately AND DJI released an app and firmware update after that is just mud in our face. I have been a long time developer and it is not that "these things take time" this was a calculated and intentional event. The mere fact that DJI has even implemented this is ridiculous...especially with the fact that the govt has grounded all their aircraft to begin with. It is not simply "this issue" but all the ones that they have not created yet, their logic in all of this is just not geared to their customers. Bottom line, for whatever period of time it is taking for the fix to be put out, there is a tangible loss incurred by every person that cannot use their product legally where and when they want. Historically other tech companies have reimbursed consumers for similar losses.
Oh ok did skydio compensate for no telemetry late delivery no remote no beacons ?, did Autel compensate for crooked horizon it took 11 months and is still not sorted , I think there are always experts who say this can be fixed at the drop of a hat but most of this is BS simply because for everyone of these you also have another group that will tell you it takes time to get stuff right, so who do you believe, I don’t know much about tech but I do know what goes on and although this does not effect me I’m aware of everything about this and I’ll spell it out to you.
Two days after release dji announced that this problem would not be fixed until late December, they weren’t shy about telling owners this, so if you are saying that owners basically had a brick for 6 weeks and counting, then decision was pretty simple return and be refunded or wait, most people with a modicum of savvy would be able to work this out for themselves, they had only two choices, so reimbursing those who decided to wait is really not a runner.
In fact I see many here with the problem hoping for this to be resolved soon, but you can plainly see that they have already been flying quite happily except for this one problem.
So yes it’s fine to put the pressure on and if it isn’t resolved in the next couple of days to turn the screw, but for yourself what did you decide to do and whatever it was I’m sure you can be responsible for that decision.
I hope for all that it gets resolved very soon and I said as much in an earlier post .
