Yesterday morning there was spotty heavy fog. But looking up revealed it was mostly low to the ground and the sun was coming out above it. I decided to take the MM up and have a look. I didn't have much time so I sort of rushed. Later in the day I looked at the footage and wished I had spent more time getting additional footage and framing it better. Just couldn't see the fine detail on the screen and surprised at what I got.

Truly great shots, but please be careful. Fog can confuse the sensors making it calculate it is near the ground, and auto land .

I must say I don’ t know. I suppose it thinks it’s within 3ft of the ground. And you’d have to see  it.
I think some people have lost them to the sea when too close.

Looking at the manual,  if you disable landing protection then it won't be looking for the ground to land and mistake a cloud for the ground instead.
