Got an e-mail from Cloud City Drones earlier this week  announcing the restocking of P4 v 2.0.  It can be preorderd on Jan 7.

Pre ordered mine already. No ship date yet but hopefully sometime in Jan. I have the Mavic 2 Pro but use to have the Phantom 4 Pro V2 and miss the camera. Excited that I will be getting another one.

Yeah! Really excited about this! Finally, a seemingly confirmatory indication from a retailer! Is the speculation over I hope?

I wonder what the inclusion of ADSB system is going to add to the price. My understanding is this should be the first of the ADSB incorporated UAV’s from DJI for 2020.

Dont think its going to have ADS-B - technically its not a 2020 drone. Probably the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom+ and Mavic Air 2 will be next in line to get it once they're released.

Ordered Yesterday with 7 to 10 day delivery,  got the shipment notification this morning,  Fedex International Priority Delivery scheduled for Wed 1/15/2020 and I have a tracking number!!!

So they are shipping on the 15th or is that when you will be receiving it? Thinking about cancelling me pre order with B&H and just buying from DJI. Don't want to miss it if its a limited run.

FEDEX Int'l Priority delivered my new bird today at 10:29!!  1 day early!

Got thru all the setup and firmware updates.....she's ready for flight testing Wednesday!  It's nice knowing I have a new bird to replace a perfectly good aircraft.....my V1 is still very good....but that Occusync on my M2Pro just is the shizznit!!  Now I have that on my mapping bird!

Why,  Because I wanted to.

Having a backup mapping bird is a must.....I could literally lose the cost of the bird in 2 weeks if anything were to happen to the V1, and I couldn't fly those jobs.

Almost 2 weeks later..... This bird is flying well, performing as expected with GO4 as well as 3rd party apps.  

So very nice having the M2P and P4P V2 for the biz.....clients LOVE choices!!  And I love the power of a backup bird.....just in case!

Don't forget to warm the batteries up to about 60deg F.  The bird doesn't like cold batteries.

May I ask - as someone who always loved the P4P (never had the version 2.0):

Why would anyone buy this Phantom now compared to the Mavic 2 Pro?
I was so glad to get something way more sophisticated and quiet when I bought the M2P.
Only difference is: M2P can't do 60fps at 4k.

Are you guys just all old nostalgics?  :-)

Since I have the M2P my P4P is resting in my attic.

Those of us,  not all, use the P4Pro V2 or V1 for mapping purposes.  With the mechanical shutter it can cruise at 25 to 30 mph at 250ft agl and take very clear pictures for map generation.

I have the M2Pro as well.  It is an awesome tool!   All the aerials in this production are mine!!  Using the M2Pro
