I am very interested and fasinated by old wrecks, and especially shipwreck located in remote areas. The story behind this picture started when i was researching satellite images, and maps showing old shipwrecks. I came over this site that had unusually many wrecks situated in one quite small area, but the description of the wrecks, and the satellite images wasent quite good enough to get an real understanding of the condition of the vessels. So i decided to go there and see for myself. After 6 hours driving, and 3 hours on a high speed ferry, i finally reached this small island in the north of Norway. The only problem was that the wrecks was located on some uninhabited islands located miles from where i was, so i decided to borrow a kayak from some of the locals, and paddle the last of the way. After some hours paddelig i reach the island and the beach of the first wreck, but after some time trying to find the exact location of the wreck i realised that the wreck probably was in so bad condition that it was not possible to locate/see. I so desided to try my luck on the next wreck. After some more hours paddeling i could see something sticking up of the water near a small island/shear, and i realised this was the ship i was looking for! I was paddeling around the wreck for some time before i deployd my mavic pro, and the view from the drone was so amazing! After battling the wind for some minutes i got this picture, and the trip was complete!
The moral of the story is that i probably havent gone on that journey if i haven't had a drone, and i realized how many trips and experiences i've gained becose i wanted to take that one good photo. Having a drone have pushed me to go to places i never whould have seen whitout a drone, even many of my trips havent resulted in good pictures, or even any pictures becose of the weather, i still went there and hadd an amazing time. So thanks for the experiences DJI!
