Hello Folks:  

I had a question about which Ronin, either or both, S & SC would be compatible with my Nikon D7500 DSLR with a Nikkor DX 16-80mm VR lens and I have a lens hood if that makes a difference?

I see from the list: https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/Ronin-S/20190926/Ronin_S_Camera_Compatibility_List_en_0926.pdf that the Nikon D85, D5, and mirrorless Z6 and Z7 on the list but there's no mention about the compatibility with the other line of Nikon cameras, namely the 7000 series?

While my camera is not one of Nikon's full-frame form factors but in fairness until the Nikon D780 gets announced at CES 2020, it does remain as the only Nikon DSLR 4K camera that includes a pop-up flash...Not if that makes a difference to the compatibility to which Ronin is compatible with the Nikon D7500 16-80mm combo?

Too bad DJI seems to leave Nikon users in the dark.
I have to admin Nikon is not the best video camera maker, but still....

Hi David, thanks for your interest in Ronin series, unfortunately, Nikon D7500 is not fully compatible with Ronin-S/SC at the moment, it can be physically balanced and stabilized on the Ronin-S but the control features can not be ensured, please note our website of the future update.

Can the D7500 be balanced on the SC though? Is there zero camera control? Will there be a firmware update that will make it compatible? The d7500 is a relatively light camera so I would think it would be fine on a gimbal designed for mirrorless?

Any plans to resolve this? D7500 shutter locks up when connected.

Just wow. Update on this? I never in a million years thought to look into product compatibility, and now I just happen to have a D7500 and a Ronin SC2.

I'm hoping there has been an update after a year...
