"THE CHANGE OF SEASONS IN TRANSYLVANIA"
"EKG OF NATURE"
Unfortunately last year I’ve been super busy...Hopefully this year I’ll manage to better organise my time and be able to create more amazing stuff. I’d like to show you one of my most time consuming and recognized work so far. It not only reached global recognition but also managed to become part of the best 100 phographers according to 35awards.
Long story short i’d like to point out some tips which I learned during the process of creation. My idea goes back pretty far in time. I had a dream before creating these pictures. As soon as I began drone photography back in 2014 have been waiting for the right moment to capture 2 seasons in one picture.
"WONDER"
Years passed and I was unable to to be there at the the right place in the right time to capture a snowy peak combined with an autumn foliage under a hilltop.... Last year I had a sort of “revelation” and decided to pick my favourite location and make a picture in two different seasons from the same height/spot/angle!
"FAIRY FOREST"
First tip: Make a list of your favorite locations. If you already have a top-down picture from a previus year get back to the spot and take the exact shot in a different season. If you’re doing it from scratch be sure to note down the height and bring a saved picture on your smartphone to check the exact angle of the image.
TWO SEASONS, TWO HOUNDS"
Tip: Stick with one type of device. For the best results be sure to use the same type of drone. During the process I used a Mavic Air, Phantom 4 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro. Finally it turned out that it has been a bad idea because of the different cameras. Dif. resolution and the FOV make aligning the image two images pretty dificult. It's not impossible but it's going to add some extra hours in the post processing "Editing" stage....
Don't limit yourself to dividing the seasons in two parts. You can play with geometrical objects also.
My series got published by DAILY MAIL UK also. You can check the article by clicking here. Let me know what you think! Feel free to ask any kind of questions! ;)
