Got a nice silicon protector/visor for it.

For some reason mine keeps failing to update using Assistant 2 for Mavic. Weird how some have updated with no issues. I have tried multiple times.

All good with update on my smart controller with the controller update only - not via assistant. Also no language bugs in my case. And Fly Immediately is an awesome option.

Did you download new update today I did it yesterday and have a Chinese language on one line the rest is english

Tried to update with DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic. Took about 2 hours to download then it failed. I uploaded the failure log and have tried it again but it is trying to download it all over again - painfully slow.

Will try via the controller over wifi instead..

Well, it downloaded over Wifi and now is stuck at installing at 1% for about 15 minutes now.

Reinstalled DJI Assistant, after plugging in the SC I did not click on the message regarding slow charging or select a data connection type via the cable and DJI Assistant finally worked and updated it.

I have been unable to figure out what works with SkyTalk. I only see the existing live broadcast option via Facebook etc.

Yes, they pulled back the original version, fixed at least the language issues I had reported and re-issued it.

The original one had a kernel date of Jan 06 and the new one is Jan 11.

In the System Version, one of the lines there also changed from:  PAD@V00.00.09.80 release-keys
To:  PAD@V00.00.09.84 release-keys

I used DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic to refresh my firmware and it updated to the latest one.  After doing so, the language issues have been fixed.  Still really surprised such obvious issues had slipped through their quality assurance processes.

Same here. Used Assistant and chose "Refresh" to go from the "Chinese text" version loaded yesterday, to the English version today. Updated two Smart Controllers, no problems.

I was finally able to update to new firmware. This time, I was able to do it via the controller rather than using assistant 2

I had the beta installed previously. Installation through DJI Asssistant for Mavic went well. Language bugs, though. All 3:rd party apps worked.

In order to rectify the language bugs, I tried to factory reset, but the language bugs are still there (for instance the Quick Fly option).  English language set, English keyboard set and european time zone.

Still no DJI Pilot for Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom! Fix it, DJI!!!!

Installation was Ok but very strangely  SC Video and Photo records bottoms does not working smoothly  not only DJI GO Apps but also Litchi as well
More strangely when you press the video  record bottom non English voice command comes out ,  guessing  she says recording or stop recording.
Btw Play Store App  working fine

How did you install Play Store?  I'm worried about breaking the controller resulting in aircraft connection loss.

Anyone else having this problem?  I've paired it with the M2Z.  Before it showed unknown before pairing too. I think the .530 to .650 worked perfectly fine but refreshing and doing nothing, the controller turned off by itself around 16%.  It was beeping but I did nothing.  This happened when I was updating it when I first got it to .530.  I didn't know I had to press the screen every now and then for it to stay on.

Play Store does not interface with DJIGo 4 or signal connection so feel free to install .it is on my SC  for months and haven't experienced any difficulties.

I had to downgrade to .530 to try to get the Switch aircraft back but I'm currently stuck at 98% with the DJI loading logo stuck..

fixed by turning it off and back on, going to update with just wifi

Stuck at (1%)........

It won't let me turn off the controller to update through the PC.

update: I got it to turn off

You have to set your screen timeout to 30 minutes.  No idea why this isn't said on Post #1 or setup automatically or at least shown at the firmware update page of DJI Assistant for All the products.

update: Aircraft management still shows unknown

update: Computer doesn't even see the Smart Controller at all.

Update: turning USB debugging worked

update: going back to .400 then back to .650 to see


Can you all check to see if aircraft management works on .650??

Update: going from .400 with factory reset to .650 fixed it.

Mine paused at 16% for a few minutes. Then it went on and ended successfully (via WLAN, controller standalone)

The website says skytalk works with Facebook and Instagram but I can’t figure out how.

Btw, the latest Instagram keeps crashing on the SC.

DJI apparently withdrew the update for the Smart Controller due to the many errors. it is currently no longer available.

This must have just happened because earlier today I "refreshed" the update making sure it actually reaches 100% completion. It did and it tells me it is ".0650".

they pulled it, fixed the problems, then re-upped it

The really annoying thing about the new version is that the PACKAGE INSTALLER keeps stopping. I can not install ANYTHING anymore.

Anyone with ideas about that?

Steps to make it work in order Ensure your PC and USB cable and its connections are stable and not overlocked if possibleEnsure 100% battery just to have it Enable the Developer Mode setting by pressing one of the version numbers 6 times? Enable Developer Mode Enable USB Debugging, touch nothing else Set display to 30 minute timeout Launch DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic 2.0.10 with Run in Administrator Mode Downgrade to .400 Factory reset w/o doing tutorials once at .400 in settings Set display to 30 minute timeout Upgrade to .650 Set display to 30 minute timeout Refresh .650 Done If you miss any of the steps you may have problems.  Do not update through the Smart Controllers otherwise, it will get stuck at 1% forever.  I've spent at least 4 hours trying to get it to work with the USB not working once it hit 98%, unknown aircraft under aircraft management, etc.  I've went back to .530, did many other things, and it was still broken. I just flew the M2Z perfectly with .650.  You can't risk having the controller Maybe work at 90%.  It has to be 100% in the real-world.

Yeah, mine hung at 16% just long enough to make me nervous before it moved along.  Lol!

Yes same here  @16% stuck about 10min then smoothly completed the update.
all fine so far and really enjoy the new function of quick start.
My earlier reported problem here  about  poor sound effects on Litchi  also been corrected after downloading the google text to speech plugin.
If you need to use  Play Store you need to re install it as per the post here

Btw,  is not related to this topic but why the SC icon disappered from every SC owners profile?

I connected my 100% charged DJI Smart Controller to my Windows PC, turned it on and launched DJI Assistant for Mavic 2 (V 2.0.10) in Administrator Mode... then I turned on my Smart Controller... Controller was immediately recognized but I do not get to see the last version (V. 01.00.0650)...
Actual Firmware at this moment is V 01.00.590

Is this just me? Usually I never have problems updating firm-, hard- or software...

Any help is appreciated...

it seems to be neccesary to REMOVE the MicroSD-card in order for the remote controller to update the firmware....
I'm updating now and will see how things end...

as they say "ALL's WELL that ENDS WELL" - did not have the right weather to testfly, but all seems pretty much OK!

Screenshot the .590 screen or the DJI Assistant 2 with the firmware selections.

After update to 1.00.650 the UI craches on every start up, the logbook function does not work anymore can i downgrade to previeus firmware? I grounded my smart controler!!!

I suppose i will wait for another week or so before i update anything on my SC.
