I was curious about the effect on power at the motors, various modes makes. I expect you thought like me that standard delivered less power than sports mode. Well, this video proves this isn't the case. The drone motors receive the maximum possible power to achieve the speed your sticks dictate. Power isn't reduced in standard like putting your foot half way down on the accelerator, but goverened by speed. This is why when fighting wind, Sports Mode makes no difference to making headway, if your ground speed is less than the sticks demand.
Although this video is about lifting a load, you can see that you don't get more power in sports mode.

I just fly in sport mode my mavic mini, and I notice that even though I have 10 satellite at least, while flying away it began to loose altitude, dunno why, you know?
