I wouldn't be recommending the CrystalSky,  32bit architecture won't run DJI Fly.

The best tablet is the Ipad Mini 5

You think DJI will make CristalSky compatible to the Mavic Mini?

I use the iPad Mini 5 for both the Mavic Mini and the Mavic 2 Pro.

No, I don't think they ever will.

DJI will be focusing on developing the 64bit flight apps which the CrystalSky cannot run

iPhone 6s mostly.

I do have an iPad 2019 but so far I have not tried it to flying a drone.
I like to travel light.

I use iPad Pro and a separate mount for it,  its a lovely screen but blocks the view of the controller.  

Crystal Sky and Galaxy Note 9.

I know, the Note is a phone, not a tablet, but it's screen is plenty big and very, very bright. Don't have the specs on exactly how bright handy, but I'm sure it's brighter than any tablet.

I also still love my Crystal Sky. Bright enough to see perfectly on the sunniest of days and its nice not to have to worry about battery and have a dedicated flying device. I also love all the ports... it's the mirror opposite of Apple's design philosophy... a big, ugly, super functional brick : ) I didn't know about that issue with 32 bit versus 64 bit architecture, it sounds like it will become obsolete over the next few years.  In 2020 I would say it's only a good option if you can pick it up on sale as it's probably going to be updated soon...

Oh I see. It looks like the date still needs to be updated then. That sort of article definitely benefits from frequent updates.

I think the rule of thumb should be, go for the most processing power you can for you budget, with a healthy dose of ram into the bargain

I don't know if it is the best, but I use Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8". I haven't had any problem so far. I made a holder for it to let me watch RC's screen.

I can confirm the Huawei MediaPad M3 8 lite works extremely well, I've been using it with my original Mavic Pro with no problems whatsoever. It also runs litchi without issues.

Yes it is, however I also have the Huawei MediaPad T5 10.1 and it runs the go 4 very well but litchi takes 3 or 4 trys to get it open, but the go 4 runs well.

Hi again that's interesting, I haven't dared try on my T5 because of the opening problems. I might give it go To be honest my 8" huawei is big enough.
My MP1 has been so reliable and predictable since I got it 18 months ago I didn't want to push my luck.

I am flying both my  Mavic pro and Air2  with this tablet www.tripltek.com   and I can not be happier. Before I was flying with the CrystalSky 7 , but after realize that is not compatible with my Mavic Air 2 , I sold it and bought the Tripltek. I have to say is has the same or better brightness than the CrystalSky , I can edit the videos faster because it is a 10 core CPU. and I can use it for other Android APPS. I bought it in Amazon
