Hello and good day Ron. I am sorry the trouble and thank you for reaching out. Since this unfortunate issue happened. Kindly please contact out DJI Support Team for further assistance at https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav. We would do their best to fix the said issue and then the corresponding resolution would be provided. Again I am sorry for the trouble and thank you for your understanding.

This problem has happened to me simply by installing the antennas. Is there any way you can email me a fix

Happened to me aswell.. its infuriating to know how common this issue is!

I will try and get it out using a screw or a drill as was suggested before

Initially neither of those methods worked. I ended up filling the hole with hotgun glue, screwed a small screw into the glue and then drilled into that screw ...aaand that worked?!

So with some determination I was able to get out multiple pieces (a ring and the shaft were stuck inside the connector).

After some more troubleshooting.  It appears these MMCX Female connectors are not just soldered onto the board.   They appear to have been solder dipped.  It doesn't seem possible to replace just the MMCX Female Connectors at this time.

When you attempt to remove them you'll also take with it some of the metal on the board which is your main lead (center pin) to the board and antenna (when plugged in).  So, at this point it appears I'll need a new DJI FPV Air Unit.

This is not true, you can solder just an off-the-shelf MMCX connector right to the board. You heat up the old ones in this slide right off

I had this happen to me on my first flight! I am probably going to solder on some antennas to the unit directly

Update all found this cool post on ig. PSA: the best method of removing the broken bits of an mmcx connector from the #djihdfpv #airunit is to solder a tiny cable onto it and yank it out. fiddling with tweasers and wires have resulted in broken middle pin. Tip brought to you by @tucnak74

Update: I tried this method personally and I accidentally soldered the broken piece inside of there I barely used any solder too! I only put solder on the wire itself, then heated up the wire on the connector and somehow I think because it was vertical that the solder dripped into the socket. This caused the metal ring to get soldered to the connector. For anyone trying it in the future I woud make sure to solder it horizontally.
I ended up purchasing these for my quad: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085DJBHKH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I will solder those in, and supposedly I will get 3x-5x range so can't really complain with the outcome if the range is true!

I have the exact same problem. Can anyone post a place where you can buy these mmcx connectors? I will reach out to support first but just to be prepared. I will be able to fix this with a rework station probably.
Im in Europe, so preferably not a US store. that would cost me € 50 in shipping

Thank u me to

We'll, I've got DJI Support looking into seeing if they can get me a replacement 'MMCX Female' connector instead of shipping the entire DJI FPV Air Unit for repair..crossing my fingers.  I called around to a few hobby shops and you can't buy these MMCX Female connectors specific to the DJI FPV Air Unit.  These are very small and made specifically for the Air Unit.  But, if anyone knows otherwise...please let me know!

Used a basic compass needle to push against the wall and gently pull it out, was very easy.  Just make sure you don't damage the tiny female pin sitting at the bottom of the MMCX barrel.
