Did you adjust the ND? I was able to adjust it so that there is no vignetting...

These were fixed, no adjustment

I am skeptical of all ND filters for the Mavic mini drone. As you know, we do not have the ability to set the shutter speed manualy in video mode. I think that using ND filters in video mode, the camera just raises the iso, which makes a lot of noise.  Correct me if I'm wrong. We need ability to control shutter, iso, wb in video mode. Hope DJI will provide this functionality in the future firmware releases.

Without ND iso was 100, with ND 4 8 16 & 32 Iso was only 110 (sunny dayJ, got shutter speed down to 45 with ND 16

How do you know what was your shutter speed when you use ND16? Are you talking about photo mode?

I enabled Subtitles and was able to see info when I played back on windows pc, not ideal but it proved iOS stays low

I'm also interested in ND, CPL filters, but I dont want to risk wasting money.

How can one be sure the MINI is not compensating the lack of light by bumping the ISO?
I want to experiment with ND filters but the lack of manual control in video makes me wonder...

Ok I guess you mean ISO and not iOS, still hard to achieve perfect "180 degree rule" for the right shutter speed, depending in frame rate.
Good to see MINI uses lower shutter rather than bump ISO.

How did you interpret the shutter speed from the subtitles?

DJI firmware will usually drops to lower shutter speed before raising the ISO so a ND filter will definitely get you a lot closer to the 180 rule before the ISO goes up.

It went up from 100 to 110 with a ND32, as I’ve stated above

Which makes perfect sense and I don't think anyone can tell the difference between ISO 100 and ISO 110.

That is the same type thing that I see and if SS is supposed to be Shutter Speed I have know idea what those numbers mean.  Do you?

Well give SS reduces as you increase the ND filters, plus a ND18 should give around 50 - 60 FPS I’d say SS definitely is shutter speed!

So you don't know what the actual units the numbers are expressed in either.

Hi, when I said fixed I meant the lens does not rotate.  The vignettes can be seen in photo mode, when the drone is in video mode it crops the picture down and the vignettes are removed.  These are cheap filters but I’ve had ok performance from them
