I’m a new owner of mavic mini. I took the drone with to the coper mountain ski resort in Colorado to ski and try to shoot some snow footages. It’s out of control after about couple minutes air time. When it happened, the height is about 100 feet and the distance is about 280 feet with very good signal. All the sudden, it declined to about 40 feet. I raised it back to about 80 feet and tried to fry it back. It worked for few seconds and declined again. The return to home function didn’t work. I can raise it up for a few times and it won’t work any more, grounded and crashed. Thanks for the find my drone feature and I can rescue it. The good thing is only 3 blades were damaged. I wonder what cause the issue. The attitude is about 15000 feet. Is it possible the high attitude? Did any one have the same issue?

My guess would be the low temperature.
I’ve flown my Mini in the yard, in the cold, several times. It seems the reliability of the drone decreases with temperature.
I haven’t flown it in very cold temps, only down to around 25F. I’m pretty sure it was colder than that at 15,000 feet on Copper Mountain.
I skied  there back in 1982 or so. Very nice, but I liked Monarch better, fewer people, more skiing.

Well done Kanaye. Poetic flow. Interesting to see the slow zoom out while tracking in Almost made me vomit. Tighten up some of the edits, like a sudden change of speed/movement. Just neeeds a treak. But as said, a great emotional and exploratory story.

Global warming is happening for sure, I rather call it "global weirding" or just climate change.
Here in Spain it hardly rains, and when it does it does so much that everything floods and gets destroyed.
Really hope things change, otherwise we can report with our drones as dooms day gets closer.

It' is the same here...this year there was almost no winter at all ( i know that the winter is not over ) ...but it is more like spring

Yeah, here where I live, lots of wild animals base their diet in acorns, however due to no rain in Autum they shrink, and they fall out of their shells in strong winds, it's actually a catastrophe...

Not many people seem to care, specially not the ones that pollute the more

You are inspiring.  I just bought my Mavic Air, but isn't it too cold to film.  I don't expect it to get up above 32 degrees Fahrenheit for another month here in Minnesota.
