Hello Everyone.
My Mavic mini makes a Circle flight mode round a building.
It is not exactly a circle but the outcome is nice.
The reason that is not making a full circle on buildings is in my opinion because something like a building is not the same shape all around so it makes a "different" Circle flight mode. It catches the center but it loses the tracking of the shape and shifts it. It is exactly as it is trying to track someone that moves.

I love the fact that it freaks out and it does a different movement than a circle, it creates interesting views of the building.

I have also tried to do quickshots on object, but it seems that MM just refuses to track them. Take a look at the video below. I have selected a tree and started helix. Although the app sees when the tree is (it tracks it with a selection), MM just easily loses it and records te quickshot in some random pattern.

Did they force it to work on people only? ;-)

A very unfavorable motif with no (not enough) contrast to the surroundings, which is a prerequisite for keeping the tracking. From 0:23 you see, that tracking is lost, the tree has nearly the same textures as the field. What I want to say is, if the tree would be red, it would work. ;-)

Yes and no. You can se that the green border around the tree escapes from the screen slowly and MM does nothing about it (i.e. does not rotate itself towards it). Agree that in this case the tree could have vanished in the field though :-)

Maybe if it uses the coordinates of the active track object then it will make a full exact circle

There is a little bit of unwanted movement in the footage, but it is nice!

Yes but not all buildings have something like this so to see it every time. In other cases, it does not work
