[size=14.6666669845581px]So I am a newbe with a little over an hour on the P3P. Thought I would try to fly a POI flight manually. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Now in my defense, it was rather windy and I put the prop guards on due to a bunch of people below. I really hope that DJI stands by their word and gets the FOLLOW ME and POI up and running in the pilot app.

POI is very difficult to do with the current state of P3.
Just a tip, I would turn the camera up just before touching down to better protect the lens.   Not only from hitting something but it's possible the props could blow sand or pebbles into it.  At least it's more likely if the camera is pointing down towards the ground.  I would prefer the landing gear to be both taller and wider.
