Since last update I’m loving it, it’s amazing how fast it is now to get flying.

Thank you hallmark, my main concern is, is it really bright enough in full sunlight. Cheers

Well that’s becoming more subjective now, I suppose when crystal sky came out first we all thought that 1000 nits was blinding , nearly had to wear sunglasses to see it ;+)... but now 1000 nits is becoming ordinary, I have to say I find it fine, I really like the whole idea of having a dedicated device, I will really love it if I can use it with Mavic 3 or phantom 5 .

Thank you for your input. We should hope for the M3 and Phantom 5!

I am satisfied but would be much more so if it also controlled my Phantom 4 Pro v2.

I am mostly satisfied with it.  I would like to apply the new firmware, but the response has been so hit and miss (mostly miss it seems) I am refraining until the next release to re-evaluate if I care to trust the software developers at this point.  I also wish it was not so locked down.

In the summer, it's very very hard to see the screen if you aren't using the Smart Controller.  DJI RE goggles abolish that issue completely though.

True, but in most countries, you would need another person to keep LOS watch for the drone.

You need LOS all the time but people constantly fly w/o it especially the FPV pilots who fly from outside to inside or inside to outside.

Back then, the drones were so unreliable, incredibly unreliable.  I was lucky to even get 250m from a quadcopter and that very far imo.

Well at this stage for me, I wouldn’t mind which but one that can change lens system maybe on 1” sensor or slightly bigger, wouldn’t mind paying extra for such a system, I’ll keep dreaming .

With the standard controller on my MP I have the metal bracket to hold an iPad air then a sun shade plus the cable to plug. It's heavier and adds something else I have to charge. The SC on my M2Z gets me in the air quickly and nothing else to connect or carry. As far as brightness, I have to have a sunshade for the iPad and if its so bright you cant see the screen on the SC then a little ingenuity works too. Like velcro a shade. I've been in Bonneville and could still see the screen....  or just find a little shade..all in all its brighter than the crystal sky..soo I'm very happy.

Yes, the use for a few months after the last update is fantastic !! I would never go back with the old controller, I had too many connection problems with the smartphone and then the cable was too weak with the risk of breaking it. Now, I'm ready to fly in a few minutes, I'm very satisfied with the smart controller.

I like my Smart Controller very much!  It is bright even under strong sunlight.  The adjustment of brightness is convenient.
