The Saen Saeb klong boats make a lot of racquet.

Maybe you were far enough away from the engine. Or, your hearing was impaired from all the nightlife.

They are not really too noisy. actually i found it very relaxing on the boats.
And my hearing is still very good, thanks for your concern

Looks like there are a few new boats, thanks to the new found popularity with tourists. The last couple of times I took the commuter boats, the noise was deafening.

very true and from a Tourist perspective its an exciting way trough the city.
same when you use the longtail boats to islands. they are so noisy and stinky but you enjoy the trip as well.
