This is quite a "busy" image, with a ton of different twists and turns, lines, trains, cars, bridges, waterfalls, informal settlement (aka South Africa), cliffs and mountains, with a river to run through it. The cloud formation in the middle was just the cherry on the cake.
TECHNICAL DETAIL:
Panorama, captured with a Mavic Pro 2. Stitching was done in the drone, not manually, and a awesome job, thanks DJI. Could not find any overlapping textures etc.
I had to crop a bit off the left hand side, as the sun proofed too hot, and most of the whites were blown out.
Not a lot of post processing work on this. Opened up some shadows, crunched the highlights a tad (all in Lightroom)
Added a bit of sharpness in the sky. (Adobe Camera Raw)
Added a light Vignette just to focus a bit more on the middle.
Then, lastly (and the step that unfortuanatly always makes the image loose a lot of quality, detail and overall sharpness) compressed, save for web and convert to jpeg from Raw.
The compression algorythm of websites (not sure about this one, but true of Facebook etc) is such, that a huge amount of detail is lost.
Anyone that want to know a bit more about the PP work, is welcome to ask on this thread.
2019 was a year of absolute magic, thanks to DJI and their awesome drones.
