Hi
Is there any news after few months? New firmware that help in this case?
I just planning the family trip about March / April and can't decide.
Main think is quick access, portability, guick photo or movie, control by phone
because i don't need distance flight record. Btw in few countries you can have law to max 50/200m in fact.

I have some options:
1. Buy once again Spark i sell with hope of buy Mini ( gestures, phone control)
2. Buy Air (as Spark plus quality and great group selfie but the price)
3. Tello with Insta360go cam on it. You can use camera alone. (cheapest)
4. Mini and wait for an updates
5. Watch for other drones like micro 4.0...

What to do? What do you think guys?

Once, out of interest, I tried this function on Spark, once on Air and found it to be of little practical use. Quickshots are much more convenient. I think gesture control will not be added for Mini.

Gesture controls need sensor, it’s not on mini, yes I agree that a couple more quick shots would be great, they are useful, but active track just won’t come and energy would be better placed looking for better camera controls .

Gesture control from the spark was really useless for me and easy to loose control.

Yes but i ask about if the sensor is for gestures or gestures use only camera? If the gestures use only cam you can have it in every drone.

As far as I know that it needs a certain sensor, I know it was implemented in Mavic pro, but only certain gestures would work.

I also think because of the whole debacle with spark and it not being sold with remote and the problems it caused, dji will no longer use phones only for flying , just my opinion .

I have some idea for DJI for using without controller.
3 clicks power > start from hand, make 3 group selfie as Air, back to hand / postion and land....
4 clicks > Dronie video 15m
5 clicks > Rocket video max height 15m
Maybe its possible to add all function to smartphone only control but with some limitation
to max speed, height, distance like was in Spark?

Thats all for quick and portability on holidays travel

Btw is possible to quick turn off Mini by rotate down as Spark?

Wish one day that producer hear people. The same is with Sony...They make what they want , not what people want... This is easy way to go down. So for example Sony phones from top to...
