Awesome footage, and highly valuable tips.  Good video with no points  great with the latter.

A very petty thing, which just means I'm weird: When I saw the word "lost" it caught my eye.   What can I say?  I'm paranoid about losing my drone, but a couple seconds and I was over it.

Your pointers about low light technique nuances were great and speak for themselves, and will be instantly useful. DJI owes you, because you used some advanced features with some specific to the Mavic Zoom, with some cool effects.  The hyperlapse footage was also great, and I'm inspired enough to actually go try it! LOL. Loved the video.

I feel blissfully ignorant about the spamming and what the possible "plans" might have been.  Pitiful to have to worry about such BS.  But reality can't be faked, and playing Ostrich games like hiding your eyes in the sand, has been extensively studied, with control groups, and the meta data can't be ignored:  It doesn't work!  IMHO it should be beneath humans.  LOL

Great video.  Thanks for sharing it!

thank you very much
your comment is highly appreciated
sorry if the title got you confused
it was related to my mood, while I was flying in those late afternoons after a hard day at work ...
lost in those landscapes and colors that you can only have from the point of view of your drone ...
don't worry about losing a DJI Drone
it is really difficult if you respect all precautions ...
plan your flight well
make sure there are no radio disturbances generated by antennas, wi-fi signals, radar (solar storm)
check the signal satellites, set home point
check remote control battery, device and drone ..
reset the ram of your device and after loading the map, put it in airplane mode
VLOS flies in compliance with privacy and laws
activates all collision avoidance sensors ...
controls propellers, antennas, stick remote control
as soon as flying, another quick check and then have fun ...

THANKS FOR WATCHING

Wow amazing video.  I love it.
I think my favorite part is the sky lantern!

When flying it over water, are you not afraid it may ditch itself? - Given it doesn't seem to do too well over water?

thanks for your careful viewing.
To be honest, I don't understand if you're referring to the drone or the lantern.

however the lantern is biological material and the wind pushes it from the lighthouse to the mainland.
(they are made to fly right?)
I always use CE certified material because I love and respect my planet earth.

about the drone, he really has no problems.

thanks again for your viewing.

hey,

I mean my favourite part of the video is the sky lantern.

Also when I say write about crashing into the water, I mean the drone crashing.

hey,

I mean my favourite part of the video is the sky lantern.

Well, I'm glad I misunderstood ...
I am a person who respects the environment very much and I try to do all what I can in this . this is very important point for me.

so , sorry for my mistake :-) and thank you

let me give this so long answer but dutiful

I'm really glad you like that part of my  shooting
on many occasions, here, we use to write a message in the lantern
sometime is a purpose, a good thought, a hope...
and then we send it to the sky, believing it can go where we sent it ...

I mean , this is a small tradition, which I added in the video with the hope that life can back to normal soon.

about flying over water.

I live in a seaside area and in addiction I have lived on ships for many years.
this made me have some experience regarding meteorology and also maintenance and precautions in brackish or anyway humid environments and highly reflective surfaces such as sea water.

since my first flights, I have tried to fly on water gaining other experiences about it .
at the beginning just some meters and many test,  until for business reasons, I had to face this in a more professional way.

honestly, there is always some risk, but this is part of the entire aviation field, including unmanned vehicle, drones.
so , I believe we  have to calculate the risk and try to minimize it as much as possible.

to date, after many years of flying over the water I can say that I have never crashed my drones in the water.
and at sametime I even can say DJI is very reliable, they produce excellent machines.
then it is our job, responsibility  to follow all the instructions, study and get to know our machines, respect the laws.

a few years ago I proposed a small check list to be done before each flight.

I really think that a good planning is often the best solution to prevent crashes
