Hmmm. Have not tried them but they look interesting. I'd love a good UV filter for my shots of the water.

Interested to see if anyone has used them.

Cheers!

Yes I have a set, they are ok, don’t cause any gimbal errors, however there is clear vignetting in photo mode but it’s cropped out when in video.  I’ve been able to drop shutter speed to 50 - 60 FPS while holding 100 iso

I am almost 100% percent happy. I do believe they have good optical quality, they look very nice, the fit perfectly (and can stay on w/ gimbal protector, although not sure if they create additional stress on the mount) but they cannot be cleaned easily from inside because the glass element is a bit recessed. They do not rotate (important to notice for PL lenses). Price to performance ratio I think they have no peers.
Beyond that SunnyLife also produce other interesting stuff that I've got, the red motor covers (which look absolutely amazing), the RC antenna reflectors and RC hood, the neck strap for the RC...

In case you wonder where to get them (w/ unbeatable price):

Motor covers https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000369994649.html
RC antenna extender and Sun hood https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32942812778.html
Neck strap for RC https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33055146025.html

Thanks, man. The only thing that bugs me is there’s no 64 option as far as I can see. But I think I’ll give them a try anyway. Do you have the normal lens or the polarized one?

I have ND-PL lenses: 4, 8, 16, 32.

The most frequently used are 4 at sunset, 8 during birght daylight, 16 during sunny days.

Why do you need a filter at sunset?

The EV range should be better if you lower the stronger light from the brightly lit sky. You get a little less details in the shadow but w/ better dynamic range and more natural highlights.

Tip - if you enable subtitles in video you’ll be able to see the shutter speed reduction while using a player with subtitle capabilities, I’m using ND4 in this flight

What does 46.25 stand for, what is the unit of measurement? It can't be ms, can't it? Seems like ~1/20 is way to slow a shutter speed for just an ND4

Hi, it’s the shutter speed, I had an ND4 on because it was a super dull day. You can see the nice motion blur in the still I posted.

Yup, that's my thought as well. Freewell (and most of what I've seen) go from double the price of the Sunnylife's

Hmm..... I really would not recommend using the motor covers. From what I've heard they can make them overheat  0_0

We can rule that out completely, both by personal and online (video) tests.

No difference in temperature. Meanwhile, the motor covers protect from dust and grits which you should be careful enough to avoid in the first place, for example hand launching and palm landing, but they will surely help with that as well with the occasional drop that may fall.

Ordered those. Still waiting...

I just received mine from Ali Express. Took about a little over a month but worth the wait based on the price I would’ve had to pay!

Now I have to test them out!

The unbeatable price comes with an unbeatable 5 month shipping time.
