My first video with Mavic Air.

I bought Mavic Air before a trip to Sweden.

Was first so impressed by its portability , I purchased combo set and the whole package including charger and so many extra bits fit so well in dji combo bag, Mavic Air is still my choice for traveling with.

I suppose many have said before about prop noise , but for me I like to fly early morning late evening so it has never really bothered me, also I tend to fly within VLOS so never had problems with connections or video feed.

Mavic Air for me is probably the best styled of dji drones with an extremely high finish came in 3 colours mine black and silver, the build is excellent and I wish dji had carried its style on to bigger dji drones, hopefully next generation MA will be slightly bigger with Ocusync.

The video was taken in one of my favorite locations in Uppsala, down by the lake in Fjällnora and when I’m in Sweden I can be regularly seen here flying my drone if your up before 7am summer or in -5 degrees winter first thing in the morning.

Sometimes when wanting to create a video, my inspiration comes from the music and this was the case with this video.

It helps me plan out what type of video I’m going to try produce, with this video it was based around land water some tranquility but also some uplifting words in the song, this was how I went about this.

It’s over two years ago, if I was to do it again I might change many things, but this was the extent or the little knowledge I had at the time, you could say I cut my tweet on this one.

I learned to keep flying simple, to try planning, to get plenty of footage, not to be afraid of editing (although I probably could have cut shorter)

I found early mornings and late evenings where so much better for light, I had no filters when I filmed this, probably could have done with some on one of the days I filmed, but still shows it’s possible to film without.

I edited with FCPX my first time using it, and although I still know very little about editing I know longer fear it, I find getting footage right will always be so much better and faster when coming to editing.

Lastly I know many newbies dread that first flight over water, but for me I live by the water and it’s my favorite place to fly, also flying over water you will find less chance of loosing signal and almost no obstacles , you nearly always have it to yourself . Enjoy. Nice sunset at end of video.

Yes it was with my dad and it was something we made, it hopped a lot.

First flight was a P2 not mine, that’s when I fell in love with dji drones, had 2 P3 both had go pro Cameras at that time dji had a contract with go pro lost both of them as well as all footage and my home in a fire in 2015, we had to completely rebuild our home and it wasn’t until 2016 that I got my next and one of djis best drones P4 .

Thank you, Mavic Air is my favorite dji drone, and by far the most stylish, it has a great camera and so many features, I wish you good luck with it, keep it close to start with but it’s pretty easy to fly and not difficult to master, looking forward to the footage .
