Thats what i thought at the beggining and do clear the cache when ive been flying during the day? now ive opted for no video cache at all flown twice with no issues! and the application remains around 250/300 meg? all i can do now is see if it remains the same?

It might be not conected at all but i tried it anyway and seems to be working fine! if it does the same again im going to delete the application again and reinstall

I am going to get my new Samsung A71 today and will have to reinstall the app. Just hope I can connect and transfer all the logs etc....will find out soon.

It is biggest app on my iphone xr now, the cached was about 200mb
,and i dont know to get rid of some data.

Mine just hit 7.7GB now. Time to reinstall the app. It is a weird issue... DJI answer or fix please.

Mine has been showing 12.23 Gb even after repeatedly clearing the cache (cache Data were always less than 100 Mb). I think even I need to reinstall.
dji please sort this out

Delete the app and reinstall to flush the app size. A lot of apps do this on iPhone. Facebook, Tiktok etc.

Is there a solution for the issue by now? My DJI fly app is at 17 GB! This is outrageous. Cache according to in app settings is 140 MB. App size according to iPhone (XR) setting is 260MB + 16.7GB documents and  data. The app keeps growing whenever I fly. I feel like it somehow reserves storage for videos I take.

Try Profile -> Settings -> Clear Cache. You have there Video Cache, WebPage Cache, Flight Records Cache. See which one is eating up the space.

This worked from Ice-2.  But do we have to keep repeating this every time we fly a few times?  That would be garbage.

Hello, same issue here. iOS 13 installed and videos cached a lot of data. I deleted the videocache folder from Files app but  storage use is crazy. The Fly app has around 7gb of photo cache but real.storage use is 59gb! Can someone help?

Has anyone found a successful fix for this? My DJI Fly App is showing as 9gb of used data even though the cache has been cleared.

In other words, it's an iPhone issue - NOT a DJI issue.  I have heard that elsewhere with various apps - my primary phone is an Android, and there it's not a problem...

It’s documents the app saves that aren’t removed when cache is cleared. Mostly logs. You can delete them individually under storage>DJI fly>documents but it’s really annoying. I was hundreds of documents for me and with your 17GB it’s probably thousands. I just deleted the largest files and the tiny documents left are still taking up significant storage space. I guess if you delete the app completely and re-install it you should be able to get rid of them. If you do so, make sure you disable document upload in your DJI fly privacy settings first otherwise the documents you uploaded might be put right back on your phone when you re-install

Sorry, but you are incorrect, the app is in charge of managing its own sandbox in iOS.  This is a DJI issue.  The software is not cleaning up the files after you delete them from inside the app.

Thanks for your help guys. I had my app showing 43Gb on my iphone and everything jammed up !
The clear video/photo cache move did the trick in seconds and I think Ill go for the no cache option in future and down load the card and archive after each session.

I have the same problem. Mine is using up more than 40GB of storage.

41.83GB to be exact.

And yes all albums have been cleared

On my case simply helped:

Offload the app and  reinstall.

1 minute process and all data remain saved. Also the Media

Mine is taking up 30gigs!!!  
30 gigs!

It seem DJI have a bunch of undisciplined software writers, as long as I can remember, they leave heaps of old files around, and do not scavenge the space responsibly. They even (used to) do this on the SD card in the aircraft.
