I thought it would be interesting to film with the DJI Osmo Action and the Vivitar DVR914HD side-by-side to find out how a sketchy dirt cheap action cam stacks up to a flagship model from a reputable brand.

The only real outstanding difference for me personally is the missing Image Stabilization. I could live with the other not-so-good features of the cheap one. The picture and color quality looks OK for me.

Really? I to my eyes the footage is just completely awful from the Vivitar. Also, I should note that EIS was actually enabled for the Vivitar, and that it is only capable of filming at 4:3 aspect ration in 2.7k, and at 10 fps in 4k, making their claims of it being a 4k camera pretty darn sketchy advertising.
