I'm getting an error telling me to calibrate vision system with DJI Assistant.

I downloaded the program and followed the instructional video below.  The problem I'm having is when I line up the red square it never turns blue so I am unable to complete the process.  This is really frustrating and does not work.  Any ideas???  How the heck am I supposed to calibrate if the program does not work?  I've tried it on two computers multiple times with no success.

The usual reason for your problem is that your video screen resolution is too high. Try lowering it to something like  1600×1200.

Hello and good day StormMarc. I am sorry for the trouble calibrating the vision sensor of your DJI Mavic 2 Pro and thank you for reaching out.  With regards to issue that we are facing today, you may give a try to change the resolution of your screen for your reference you may take a look at this information. It is recommended to use a monitor with a size of 14 inches or more, and a curved screen is not supposed to be used. Set the display resolution to the recommended value (usually 14 inches for 1366*768 or 1440*900; 17 inches for 1366*768 or 1280*720; 19 inches for 1366*768 or 1440*900; 22 inches for 1680) *1050 or 1920*1080; 24 inches for 1920*1080 or 1920*1200). Please give us an update further assistance. Thank you.

Thanks for the tips but still nothing working.  Set my 15" laptop to 1366 x 766 with no success despite carefully lining up red square with green.

Switched to my desktop 27" and set to 1920 x 1080 = total fail as well despite almost perfectly lining up the square which by the way is not very easy when hand holding the drone.

Something is seriously lacking in your software or firmware guys... what are my options?  Can I continue to fly with this error?  Any way to eliminate it without this useless software process?

Thank you,  Marc

I have never had any luck with my desktop with large monitors in spite of trying all the resolutions suggested. Have never had any issues with my small laptop.

Thanks, can I ask what size screen your laptop is?  I have an HP 15" z book.  It's not the greatest screen but seems like it should work.  My 27" screen is very good but that does not work either.

Anything else from DJI support?  I'm stuck here and your calibration program does not work.
1. Can I continue to fly and ignore the message to recalibrate vision sensors?
2. Do you plan on fixing your software?
3. Do I have to send it in to get this fixed?

Thank you,  Marc

UPDATE:  I had the wrong version of DJI Assistant installed.  Turns out the first version that comes up on the site when googling it is the universal version that has been discontinued.  There are now versions for each drone type.  Once I installed the Mavic specific version it worked.  Might be a good idea for DJI to remove the old software since it recognizes the drone but does not work when trying to calibrate.  Thank you.

I go through the whole process of calibrating and the calibration never completes. It never gets past 0%.

Hello there.  Thank you for reaching out. Can you please try the steps below and see if it will help:
1. Please check the Sensor Calibration Instructions in DJI Assistant 2. During calibration, keep the aircraft arms unfolded. Notes: Folded aircraft arms may obstruct the vision sensor, which may result in a calibration error.
2. Ensure that the monitor has a straight-face screen. Curved screens are not supported.
3. We recommend using a monitor larger than 14 inches. If the screen is less than 14 inches, the calibration may fail.
4. Please use a soft fabric (such as a cloth for glasses) to wipe the vision sensor lens of the aircraft. Wipe it several times until the lens is clean.
5. Please set the resolution displayed on the computer to the default value recommended by the system.
6. Try to reinstall the DJI Assistant 2. Make sure you are using the correct version.
7. After following the steps above, please reconnect the aircraft and the DJI Assistant 2 for reconnection and calibration.
Please keep us updated. Have a great day ahead.
