Get the DJI RE goggles so you can fly with your M2 but also make a betaflight quad and fly FPV.  It's just amazing.  Just don't expect to fly too far.

Why not fly too far, will they loose connectivity?

You have no RTH, or GPS hold unless you use iNav or something but I don't use those things.  I just want to fly for fun near and that's it.

It could cost a lot though because of the learning.

Yeah and my time (free) is limited.
So one day maybe.

They aren't entirely photography drones.  Unless you strap a gopro on it, the quality wouldn't be so good.  I'm thinking about putting on one but it could be boring.

I know.
But if the footage is stabilized, you get amazing shots.

Good to know, thank you.

I mean, you can install iNav and probably get it to work.  People have been using it but I don't fly far enough for it to matter.

I would rather not complicate anything else since we both know anything could go wrong.  Thanks,

I understand but it's a very rewarding experience when everything is done right.  You develop quad flying skills and building skills that you don't get with DJI drones plus all these skills carry over into other RC hobbies and pretty much anything PID motor related.

I would just suggest starting with one first but if you go too small w/o good soldering skills or too big, things can go wrong there too from ripping pads off the boards to using too much solder.

Ive flown quads/fpv before I got into DJI drones.  I was just wondering about flying far with it since that is what I like to do mostly with DJI drones.

I start to lose massive RSSI when changing orientation and going behind some trees not even 1/10 the distance we can with the M2 w/o boosting.

Gotcha, thank you for that info since I have always been curious about that.  Have a great day.

I flew a couple of quads before I purchased my DJI drones, which none of them had any type of IPS or GPS.  I think all drone pilots, if they haven't already, should at least fly model aircraft or some sUAS without any type of positioning system, for at least the experience and respect for the aircraft and flying in general.  It's like driving with stick, just more engaged and precise.

Flying DJI drones feels slow compared to DIYs today.  It doesn't matter if the feed isn't as good.  It's just something to have fun with for a little bit.  I didn't get DJI FPV because I have smaller quads too and just want an all-around setup that I don't have to worry about the power connector coming off the goggles, losing feed, etc.
