Has anyone seen the DJI GO 4 warning "flight distance may exceed line of sight?". I find it very distracting, as it obstructs the screen. Is there a way to disable this?

I seen it for the first time a few weeks ago. It's distracting for sure.

I've seen it before.  It can cause alarm.

Yes, I also saw it a few weeks ago but recent flights, never again.

Autel II Evo isn't even out and with this coronavirus it looks like it may not come out until next year so

It's cool to cherry-pick certain things to be shown on Youtube but until it's released we don't know.

Thank goodness I don't use the crippled DJI firmware and software. I use No Limit Drones (NLD) and it is how droning should be.  I have found the older and more stable firmware is utterly reliable  without loss of drone features.

It already knows you going to do that from the moment it takes off.
Well, mine did when taking off, even at 1m from the place it took off. Didn't notice that after the newer version of DJI Go4 v4.3.32 of march 10th.
Again same version number, different release date. Got the update on the SC couple days after the one on my smart phone.

Try reinstalling the 4.3.32 again and see if the problem still exist. I got the impression, that the message has gone after the latest version. I'm using an SC and a Mavic Pro.
Maybe it depends on drone type and it was ment for the mini.

Same version number as the one before. Did ask for change log, but no reply.

Conclusion: Mavic 2 pilots has better eyes than MA pilots!

My MA shows this message at 800 meter, M2 at 1200 meter

The MA is smaller than the M2. So, you'll loose him faster.
But strange, indeed. The max range of my M2 is set to 500m and had that message too.

I reinstalled the DJI Go 4 app, still shows version 4.3.32 1mo old. This is from App Store. Where did you find a version after 10th March?

Got an update from the play store on my gsm. I saw it was exactly the same version that I installed some weeks ago. A few days later, when I tried to see if there was an update on the DJI Go4 app on the SC, it installed also the same version again.

To be fair in the video its nearly 2km away.  Its definitely outside visual line of sight for any human being!

Cant you close the prompt by clicking the X ?

Yes, you can close it by clicking x but it appears again in no time!

I think the message comes from the GO4 application, not the Mavic software.

easy. you basically can't see the drone after 200-300m or so. after 500m is illusion..
but yes, evo2 is orange, lol. (but same laws also for it)

DJI online support said that the warning remains on the screen until you decrease your distance, for safety purposes. However, the warning message itself destructs the screen thus compromising the flight safety.

Sounds like a good time to downgrade to an older version of Go 4.
Ive got no problem with a popup reminding people but a distracting one that keeps reappearing and obscuring the screen is dumb.

Totally agree! Any idea where to find iOS app to downgrade?

No idea for crapple but anyone on android can find all the old versions on the apk-mirror site.
Install from there and turn off auto-update for the app.

That or use Litchi (although its pretty horrible).

Ive got it for specific tasks (mainly waypoint flights).

Other than that its inferior to Go4 in terms of GUI and features pretty much everywhere.

Its a tool for a job, outside the specific things like waypoints its not a nice experience using it.

But that is all it is intended to do, waypoints, and it does far better than Go 4 does. You are comparing two different tools.

As i said, its a tool for a job.  If you don't want to use waypoints and just use it for normal flying, Go4 is far superior.

Same if you want other modes like POI orbit and so on.

Any news about this issue, dear DJI Super Moderator?

If i get anywhere near 300m I'm good with that. I dont do long flights and stay within my comfort zone. I tried a long flight once and it wasn't at all enjoyable as my heart was in my mouth and my ears were bleeding from Michelle roaring at me to bring it home and land.

Is there any way to download earlier version of iOS DJI Go 4 app?

Yes, still you  may fly however the screen vision is obstructed, causing a real safety risk.

FWIW Go4 versions .28 appears to be the latest version without this "feature" so can try downgrading to that.
