Sometimes my Spark will test my flying skills.
Rth was never an option because high wind.
The tiny radar saved the bird.
Log is a mess.
Will do the IMU/COMPASS thingy before I make another flight.

You managed to fly back yourself?

Yes, I did.
When the mode changed to atti, I tried to orient by the camera and map. Totally useless in this haywire situation (bird spinning).
Decided RTH would not be useful, gusts was in the rth speed limits and not towards HP.
Slam the Sport mode switch, and to my surprise, it engaged almost instantly.
Tapped the Radar, oriented towards the HP.
Flew back home like a champ!

Interesting or by coincident, there seems to be a larger error acceptance of the compass and/or gps in Sport-mode.
And, most importantly, I'm pretty sure the AC-RC connection was never lost.

If this incident would have happend somewhere in my first 10-20 flights 2 years ago, I'm sure I would have lost my dearest Spark.

That was scary. Great job on staying cool and managing to get your bird
home safe.
