Hi everyone, yesterday I tried my first night flight, I'm a little bit scared but all goes quite well, quite good photos nice fly, smooth and slow, but I've found some problem with video recordings, there is a blue shadow on the left of the entire video:

What do you think about that? It's just my immagination or there is a blue shadow on the left?

Thanks a lot
Bye

Tbh with my laptop (which is not very cheap) I can't tell any color cast on @Dirty Bird footage (I hanker after a footage like that to be edited), perhaps should lower my ambient light and increase brightness or gamma of the panel.

Anyway.... I think the MM is one of the worst DJI drone when it comes to night video, @luca6686 try posting a screenshot.

There has been some pretty outstanding night time footage displayed on this forum that’s my opinion, however for $500 you cannot expect to get Mavic 2 or Inspire 2 results.

I see your color cast problem @luca6686.

I don't have that in my MM dark footage...

I wouldn't like it but that wouldn't make me trade my unit.

My MM seems to have a green tint on the left side of the frame when shooting videos at night (high ISO), but no noticeable tint when taking long-exposure photos (low ISO). In any case, it's a slight tint that never gets so severe and visible as the "blue shadow" from the OP.
See examples below: the first is a (very dark) screen grab from a 1080p video, where you can see the greenish tint on the left side (it stays consistently there even when I rotated the AC around, so it was not due to external lights). The second is a 2s photo, ISO 400 (resized to 1920x1080), which has no visible tint.

Maybe it's YouTube, but your video has a rather noticeable green tint on the bottom-left, very similar to the OP but not as strong. It really seems that's a problematic area for the MM sensor, at high ISOs.

the problem is that you shoot 60 frames at night if you go to 30 frames you won't have those marks

Good catch, I watched it from the browser and it didn't show up as "1080p60", but if you download the MP4, it's clearly 60fps.

Luca: try 30 or 25 fps, and see if the problem is still there. When shooting at night, you want low fps, to allow for longer shutter / lower ISO.

Hi everyone!
As you suggested I've tried with lower FPS and that was fine, no more blue on the left and a quite good result

I took my MM out last night at dusk and shot my first night video and i also noticed the lower left area being very green compared to other areas of the video, this was shot in 2.7k at 30fps

Excellent, glad it worked. You now have the green tint, like most of us, but it's not nearly as noticeable as the blue shadow. See image below, showing the same house/light when it's on the left side of the frame (green tint), vs when it's on the right side of the frame:
