I've been experiencing the same lag/freezing issue on a recommended device (samsung galazy s5, 5.01 lollipop) as most others have been reporting after updating firmware to 1.1.9. Understand that this just isn't the video lagging, but the app itself also becoming laggy and unresponsive too.

This morning I tried all of the "tips" people have been recommending (airplane mode, removing bloatware, using zapper, cool ambeient temperature 64 F, etc.) seemed like it might actually work but during the course of my flight it got progressively worse until the app completely froze and I was forced to land after about 10 minutes. I was everything into my house while the app, remote, and aircraft were all still on (the app was still frozen,) as I walked inside I lost all connected satellites. Suddenly, the app become very responsive; The video was smooth and the app buttons were very responsive.

Time to move to iOS for great success.

Actually, I think it would be more appropriate to say, "Time for DJI to stand by their recommended devices."

Not sure why whenever there is an issue with an Android app, people with IOS feel the need to chime in with, "Time to move to Apple..."

I remember when the Phantom 3 first started being delievered the IOS app wasn't compatible with the aircraft and a bunch of IOS users were without a working app. So being on an IOS doesn't always guarantee success either.

This thread is meant to add to the information regarding the current issue with Android w/ firmware v 1.1.9, not slams against android users. I wasn't really looking for someone to convince me that I should drop a couple hundred bucks on another tablet.

So I bought an iPad mini 2 last night. The app is much nicer than the Android version. We will see how it performs later today
