This pano was taken on 26-1-2020 (In my mind that is 'pre COVID19')
With the partial sunlight I really like the outcome

At first I thought they only worked more close to a subject, but that was not true.
Although the effect is 'better' (more realistic) when you are more close.

Now, since I notice you like playing with creative effects I am wondering if you might like to use some unsharp mask.

That could make details stand out without introducing the microworld effect like tilt-shift, and to avoid oversharpening everything which I deem detrimental for the picture use a mask. See my example if you like it.

Yes that is nice too.
You can do so many things with one image. It is almost endless.

Being a model builder myself I kinda like the miniature effect

I asked because I tend to quite use that effect and to a much lesser extent the guassian blur, applied in a masked tilt-shift orientatio to simulate a bigger camera depth of field

I just recently discovered the 'depth of field' filter in Affinity Photo.
It does a really good job in mimicking true DOF if you ask me.

I always felt fascinated by dark editors... but I lack the willpower to move on and upgrade. And I am not sure a I could do without PS or be ready to spend big money.
I've tried Gimp several times and always felt disappointed for how atrocious some functions are compared to PS.

For me Affinity replaced photoshop (which is way too costly for me)
There is a couple of things that are more easy in Photoshop, but most of them are because I was used to working with Ps.
The HDR merge function of Affinity is superb btw.

Yes indeed, a friend of mine uses blender to create the most realistic images you can imagine.
