So I was in Florida before this whole corona virus thing and took this screenshot. This is the farthest distance I have ever flown. I also took a picture of the flog flowing over buildings. Hope you like it.

I've been to 2km Out but turned around. Signal was still good. Lots of battery left. Tomorrow I might see if I can do 2.5. Baby steps

Im in eastern Canada. Its supposed to be really calm today . I usually head out to some farmers fields as no one is around.  I have a nice spot where i have about 80 feet in elevation to launch from.

Ya but this dude ran out of battery.  I make it a habit of doin my range tests into the wind and returning before im near half battery. I just dis 2.3 km and when i came back i atill had 50% battery

only by a few meters. You should be able to extrapolate how far it can fly in any given battery/distance without having to sacrifice your own device just to satisfy your curiosity. Or you can keep tempting fate with range tests and then risk losing it.. its your dime after all.

Im happy with 2km for sure. Can i loose my mini, sure. Anyone can loose any drone i suppose. It won't be because i ran out of battery though.  I only fly far out into the wind, and when the wind is low.  I always try and have an elevated launch point.

Earlier this year before all this Corona bollocks,  in a countryside environment, i was able to fly my CE mini  2290 meters = 1.4+ miles on a 2.4ghz freq...   It felt it could have gone further still, as the reception of the screen was still good, but the wind was gusting so i RTH for safety.
