Ahh I think we’ve now seen most of what will come with Mavic 2 air, and I have to say it looks pretty good, let’s see if there is some improvements on camera.

Combo, with battery... but I doubt I will pull the trigger quickly... if an of all!  Furnace bill is dropping.... huggggg!

You seem anxious to overthink everything, I think Mavic Air2 will have been prepared for probably more than 12 months, so it’s not off the cuff stuff.

Will it be better than M2P, well I don’t think it will have a 1 inch sensor so no it won’t .

Activetrack 3.0.. it's not any better than Activetrack 2.0 other than the number.

Skydio 2 4K60 is great but it's really designed for the outdoor enthusiast as if you fly in other areas the M2 imaging quality is a lot better but it can't track you of course, at least safely.

4K60 also eats up insane amounts of storage as well as making post-processing more difficult.  If you aren't shooting 4K60 then the quality of the Skydio 2 looks a lot worse.

Skydio has died a death unless you ride a bicycle up and down a mountain it’s no use as a drone.
Active track 3 on a drone, well you don’t know what that will be like because you’ve never seen it operate on a drone.
Storage is cheap so I don’t think that is a factor with 4k 60, but it’s not something people will record in and show to anyone else, but it helps when just slowing down footage and can give a nice cinematic look to your footage.
I think if price is same as old MA with Ocysync new battery time then it will sell and is good value.

Bicycle is a generic term.  I ride race bikes (including dedicated time trial), recumbents, MTB and café cruisers.  The drone world can handle a variety of drones and uses.

The Mavic Air was a good drone but sadly lacking in the connection department. If the Air 2 employs the same connection methods as the MP family then it will place it in the very desirable section. Give it a better camera and it will be in a lot of peoples baskets.

I own a nice mavic pro 2 with the hasslehoff camera so for me buying the new mavic air would be pointless..

From the leaked images and stuff all over the internet, it looks to be a smaller version of the Pro/Pro 2. But why grey.......Quite liked the selection of Black, White or Red for the original Air. Obviously the finished product maybe different but lets wait and see on the 27th ??

I don’t know why grey, we all could do with a bit of colour in our lives these days.

if it weighs more than 249g, its not an upgrade... its a totally different class. I'll be purchasing a mavic air 2 or maybe a mavic 2/3 pro this year, but neither would ever replace the mini, the drone that I will almost always have with me while traveling.

The Mini is good but the amount of crashes and blow aways due to the weight is scary on YT and other groups. It's a cool little version of the Mavic but no good to me being that light in the air. The MP struggles in headwinds but a little less altitude and it ploughs through it. Each to their own though and different pilots have different requirements Jym.

Indeed doodly. Anything to make things brighter this year is welcome.

Things are too crazy right now. It would be nice I'll admit it, but the mini is still serving me well at the moment.

I dont have any plans on buying from DJI . Thanks for posting this poll

DJI might be looking to bring in quick cash and price these to "go".  Unlikely, but remember that the product and rollout predate Covid-19.  Fingers crossed (along with, toes, eyes and nipples).

Based on the reading, in the limited capacity I have seen info that seems to be solid - I will likely go with the M2A - rather than spending the $1500 on the M2P. Loving my mini so far, but I think something just a notch or 2 above will get me better video/photo with better capabilities and might even fly a bit better

The Mavic Mini was a great entry level drone for me, but now I want more.  I've decided against Autel, Fimi, and Hubsan. They just don't fly as well as DJI and seem to be loaded with problems.  The  Mavic Air 2 might be my next drone.  But I'll need to see the reviews  first.  Especially if the DJI Fly app is as limited as it is on the  Mini.
Things that I want:

• Better yaw and joystick sensitivity control; the Mini can sometimes be a bit jerky.
• Less lens distortion or better built in correction.
• Better low light filming
• Better wind resistance
• Activetrack (if we can ever go out again)
  

I'm not sure if I will sell my Mini; it depends if DJI Care Refresh can transfer over to a new owner.

I think I'll wait for mavic air 3. Didn't have too much time to learn my mavic air 1 yet lol

Its too big, too heavy. Still waiting for Spark 2...or Mini 2 with Spark or Air possibility

From what Ive read, its supposed to have Occusync 2.0, so that would make it much more appealing to people who would have bought a Mavic 2.

Reason most answers are no: CCP uses DJI drones for surveillance of Uighars and gives them to US police for surveillance of Americans. We are at war now. I am sorry it turned out this way. Can we hack Chinese DJI drones to kamikaze Xi Jinping?

DJI needs to leave China to succeed. CCP will use you then kill you. Don't enable them. We support your people.

Just give them some Lysol or Dettol to drink, I hear it gets rid of the enemy in one minute;  ;+):::::

For my use i see that the range on the mini is not enough... so on that alone i will upgrade. If we can get 4K 60fps as well i'm more than happy. Love that they kept the small form factor

What I want to know is if the new controller that comes with the M2A is going to be compatible with the M2P?

The controller has less buttons so I’m not sure why you’d want it.

Kind of easy to see now why the mini doesn't have features like active track. They are reserved for the next drone up. The air 2 does look very nice.
