I had never done this before, but last month I went to the mountains and tried to fly the mavic pro in the snow clad mountais prboably at an altitude of 4000 meters. It was a sunny day with temperature around 12 deg C.
I noticed the image in the live view getting blurred after only a few mins of flying, probably not even a minute.
I got the drone down and noticed the lens was fogged. So I tried to point the lens at sun and nnothing happened. Waited for 5 mins still nothing happened.

When i turned off the drone after about 90 secs the fog disappeared. This thing repeated all through 3 days that I stayed there.

I was really disappointed why would such a thing happen ?? U have been seeing some really nice drone videos of the snow montains ?

Can anyone tell me what could have been the problem ? Or what can be done to avoid it ?

Was it inside the lens or just on the outside.
Have been flying here in -3C to +10C and not seen this.

I've had that problem before but after I left the drone outside for a few minutes for the lens to adjust to the temperature the fog went away. You could also try a antifog or defog wipe or liquid.  https://www.amazon.com/s?k=antifog&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

The fog was inside the lens. As I was out there for 2 days I tried everything like you said. I noticed that the fog would come only after the drone was turned ON for a min. And buy just keeping it out it won't go, but the moment I would turn it OFF in a min or 90 secs it will go by itself. I believe it had something to do with the heat generated when turned ON reacting with the temperature outside. I would try to look at the antifog link. Thank you.
