Well I see I'm not the only one experiencing this because I was about to pack up my drone and return it.  But if this issue isn't resolved before my return cut-off date, that will be exactly what happens.

Hi Mike, just to verify, did the drone ever encounter a crash damage or hard landing? Please try to restart the drone and refresh the latest firmware for the drone and calibrate the gimbal again. I just today ended up with this gimbal calibration error code 40011 mini 2 , just in my 2nd attemp controller powered on then mini 2 but the during gimbal initializing first shows gimbal motor over powered then in 2nd attempt shows gimbal calibration error .  No crush just flown about al together 25 minutes . What to do ? I just got it yesterday ! Send email to customer care , chat serve closed , any advise folks

I had a similar experience yesterday. Good luck to both of us.

Never have crashed never have landed hard. I always fly responsibly.  This error came out of nowhere. 40011. Tlkd with dji and they sent me a return lable.  Its in the mail to them now.  Its still under warranty and really hoping they look out for me being i did nothing for this error to come about.  Fingers crossed.

I have a Mini 2 and am currently on firmware version 01.03.0000 - I have the same Code 40011 and had 1 minor crash with no damage and the gimbal still works fine.

That is the correct download, however, refreshing the firmware did not fix mine.  Watch this video to get access to the firmware options on the mini 2.  You have to change the default settings for the firmware tab to show up.  Hope this helps for future needs.  

I just run into this same problem i had no issues with my dji mini 2 I already check everything and looks fine I haven’t crash the drone or nothing it just started to film tilt to the left

Where I get that firmware? I’m looking for it but I can’t find it.

Mini 3 Pro.  OUT OF BOX  has this gimbal calibration error 40011.  Unacceptable DJI  what are you doing?

This usually works for me after I replace/repair a gimbal and I get error "400011". Watch the entire video. I have used this method 6 or 7 times and only once has it not removed the error. I believe I have a faulty gimbal transmission cable on my Air 2s and that's why I can't remove the error.
