Gee though I'd have a quick fly over my neighbourhood yesterday. But all that happened is I crashed my drone and now it has a torn off camera. I am so dissapointed with myself and needed to post this to try and stop myself from feeling so dumb and angry because i didn't check the wind and the drone got blowen way way of course and it crashed trying to fly it home. I never had such bad wind experience before.

I think to send my drone for repairs to the link you gave me is a no go for two reasons .
1-- It is not New Zealand
2- Covid 19 has the world in stand still.

Bad luck mate!! I know the feeling but in my case I was very lucky. Didn't even have to change props.
I love my mini but it's ... in high winds.

No not buying a new drone just waiting for NZ agents to open and I'll try for insurance and get a quote to repair.

Well have had my drone back from repairs for about 5 months but are reluctant to fly it anymore as have no real need. The rules are so strict it is no fun. I have fun police living around me. I am looking into using it for fishing and purchasing a kit from Gannet to use for flying my line out passed the waves.
Does anybody have any experiences with drone fishing ?

Don't be so hard on yourself, it does happen to a lot of us pilots, the only good thing is that you have learnt an important lesson which will make you into a better pilot.
