So made the mistake of upgrading - the FW is so flaky.  I had a working P3 Pro and RC.  Did a flight and it kept nagging me around Firmware out of date, update required.

So I updated the RC firmware to the latest 1.9.2 (was on much older version, like 1.5.x or something)

It seemed to work, but now the RC and DJI Pro app cannot even connect to my AC.
All I see is blank screen and in blinking red across top "Remote Controller Signal Week"

The AC is powered up and the lights just blink yellow.  

Really irritating as this was all working fine before.  So now what?  I checked to see if I could downgrade the RC and the downgrade FW menu simply says "No available firmware for downgrade".

What do i do?

So updated the aircraft to 1.11.30 - didn't help - nothing works!!!  I'm so irritated (forced to use PC language) at DJI for all this firmware crap.  My controller is still stuck on this "remote controller signal week" - won't connect to the aircraft.
The aircraft now does the following when turned on:
Led light - solid red, then blinks red-green, then back to solid red - seems to be some time frame on it.
Nav lights - two solid red, other two blinking yellow.

RC still at firwmare 1.9.2 - which is the garbage that started this whole mess.

So now what!  

Also of note.  If I leave the controller on, after about 5 minutes it starts making this annoying "beep-------beep------beep" sound, then just turns itself off..

This was the latest in the "results" file on the sd card from the aircraft - really odd how the dates went from 2020 when I flew yesterday to now it's the year 2014:

1. Click the hidden folder option in the system according to the following method:

2. Find the hidden folder MISC in the root directory of the SD card, and find the LOG folder.
3. Please send us the TXT files (the log files) in the LOG folder for analysis. You may upload the log files to Google Drive or Dropbox and then share the link with us. Thank you.


PS: The LOG file store in the hidden file of the SD card catalog: \MISC\LOG\, you need to show the hidden file in system settings, LOG file named as P3X_FW_LOG_AB.txt  (Take Phantom 3 Professional as an example). The LOG file end with LOG_AB.txt.

Hi there, I believe it is a similar issue where I tried to update the controller and drone using the DJI GO app but now its constantly telling me update required in the app and when I press this it says its starting the download but then tells me to check my network connection and instantly fails. My network connection is fine and has no issues and then it won't let me connect to the drone at all since this issue started which makes me think its an issue with the firmware in the controller.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. Have you tried to change a network or try another mobile device to see if the issue persists or not?

I have tried both, neither is solving the issue! I'm getting more and more frustrated because when I spoke to customer service they're telling me to send the drone off to have the controller repaired which will cost around £150 all down to the fact their firmware update bricked the controller despite me following their instructions exactly but they're refusing to admit its their fault because not everyone is experiencing the issue despite the fact a quick google search is showing loads of people with the same issue! I know its not you who's dealing with it so I apologise if that comes across as aggressive towards you but you can imagine how frustrated I'm getting that an expensive drone is now not working because I did what the company told me and tried to keep the firmware up to date and now I'm going to be out of pocket because of it!

DJI Natalia, I've been gone over weekend - here's the only file under LOG under the MISC file.  
File Name P3X_FW_LOG_AB.txt
Last Modified: 1/1/2014  (as you can see, I have RARELY updated firmware because it simply never works.

How do I re-upgrade the firmware - what are the steps? And is this the drone or remote controller firmware?

HI - need update - what are the steps?  If I put the sd card in now it won't do anything as the FW versions are the same - so again, how do I force it to upgrade again?

HOLY CRAP - can anyone respond to this with instructions - DJI support has apparently decided they are done with this and won't respond - or they have no idea, which is possible..

have you had any luck? i was afraid of this happening to mine. i did a search and it seems like a lot of people are having this problem. i just got a new to me P3P, so i'm going to ignore the firmware update.

sort of - I was able to get the AC downgraded and get my RC relinked - all seem great, fired it up, had good signals, good GPS, started flight, got to about 200 ft and whole thing went BEZERK!  Said magnetic interference, AC took dive at full speed and exploded into ground...

FREAKING PI$$ED!  I can guarantee my next drone will never be a DJI again - they are so flaky with their firmware - your taking a chance flying your $1000 drone everytime...

I have the same problem with Phantom 3 Professional, I am desperate.

Never crashed, the software the remote control and the drone, everything is now lame.

Here are all the log files, Remote control and drone can no longer be updated.

Drone has software version V01.11.0020
Remote control has software version 1.60
"Both seem to be frozen and stopped"
